Ronald McDonald  House benefit

All profits from the Woodland "mini only" Enduro will go to benefit the Ronald McDonald House.

 

Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest creates, finds and supports programs that provide a caring community for families with seriously ill children while increasing children's access to health care services.

 

The Woodland "mini only" Enduro will have concessions available.

Bring your mini riders out to enjoy the event and bring your hungry friends to visit the concession stand.

Norsemen HAS PURCHASED TRANSPONDER SCORING SYSTEM

In a move designed to improve accuracy and race flow, the Norsemen Motorcycle Club has purchased MotoTally transponder scoring system to be utilized by the D23 points keepers at ALL D23 Hare Scrambles in 2010.

To prevent losing this Enduro for the 2010 season, the Norsemen Motorcycle Club will once again sponsor the Akeley West Enduro.

Akeley Enduro West

Directions:
Mini Event: Sign up, sound testing, and start will be at the Martineau Trail Head which is located on Minnesota Highway 64 approximately 5 miles north of Akeley.

 

Main Event: Start is at the Stompin' Grounds in Akeley, MN. The Stompin' Grounds is located at 26993 State Highway 64, 2.9 miles north of State Highway 34 which runs through Akeley.


Sign-Up:
Mini:
Saturday 12:30 p.m. At the Martineau Trail Head
Saturday 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. At the Stompin' Grounds
Sunday 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. At the Stompin' Grounds


Key Times:
Micro and Macro 2:00 p.m. start, approximately 30 minutes for the leader
PeeWee, Girls & Premier 3:00 p.m. approximately 1 hour for the leader
Main Event Sunday 9:00 a.m.


Mileage:
Main event will consist of a single loop of approximately 62 ground miles.
There will NOT be a C Class early out.
Micro and Macro will run approximately 30 minutes.
PeeWee, Girls & Premier will run approximately an hour.

Terrain:
There are plenty of solid single track trails with a couple of long sections to make sure you will really get your money's worth.


Requirements:
AMA card, parent present with minors (racing or spectating)
AMA District 23 card
US Forestry Service Approved spark arrestor
Minnesota DNR off-road sticker
SOUND TEST WILL BE GIVEN must pass 96 decibels as per AMA rules.


Entry Fee:

**Due to increased expenses from the State of Minnesota, the entry fee for Enduro's had to be raised to $40.00.
$40.00 Enduro
$20.00 Mini Motorcycle
With current AMA and District cards.


Other Information:
A gas trailer will be provided to the main gas only. Optional gas stop at 18 miles and main gas is at 44 ground miles and both are at the Martineau Trail Head. Time keeping will be the regular system with a restart after main gas.

 

Camping and Food:

Free primative camping is available at the Martineau Trail Head where the Mini Enduro will start.

 

The Stomin' Grounds camping now features new showers, restrooms and electric hook-ups. Stompin' Grounds is offering $5.00 off camping on the event weekend.

Leave your frying pan at home and let the Stompin' Grounds do the cooking.

There will be a spaghetti feed on Saturday evening. Adults $7 with kids less
Sunday morning there will be an eggs and pancake breakfast available. Adults $5
Regular menu will also be available.
