Norsemen HAS PURCHASED TRANSPONDER SCORING SYSTEM

In a move designed to improve accuracy and race flow, the Norsemen Motorcycle Club has purchased MotoTally transponder scoring system to be utilized by the D23 points keepers at ALL D23 Hare Scrambles in 2010.

2010 Monti Results are posted

YMCA Camp Manitou Monticello Hare Scrambles has been given another year. Thankfully, the wheels of "progress" move slowly allowing us to hold one more Hare Scrambles at the camp before development of the land begins.

Monticello Hare Scrambles will be scored via our new MotoTally Transponder scoring system. We tested the system out at the ice race in February. CLICK HERE to view the results and get a feel of the different sorting options allowed with this system.

The transponders we will be using is the size of a credit card. You will be required to either rent the transponder for $5 with a $15 deposit or you may purchase the transponder for $15 as one will be required at all District 23 Hare Scrambles for the 2010 season. You will not be allowed to share a transponder. If the transponder was not issued to the rider entering the event, you will be charged $15 re-programming fee.

You will not be allowed to sign up for the event unless you have your helmet with you at sign up. Upon purchase or rental of a transponder, we will tape it to the underside of your helmet visor. The transponder will then be programmed and you will be ready to race!

This transponder system is different than the cylinder ones you may have used at an Enduro recently. This system requires the transponder to be flat and on top as you will be riding under the antenna instead of through it.

There will be a display monitor for riders and spectators to follow each riders progress during the event. Our hope is we will be able to get riders through scoring more rapidly and results posted online faster.

This being a new system and the first event, we are asking you to have your AMA card current BEFORE the event. If you have a current AMA card, we will be able to swipe the card and have your information come up immediately. If you renew your AMA membership at the event, we will have to manually enter all your information taking substantially more time. Do your part and have your current AMA card ready at signup.

Monticello Hare Scrambles proceeds go to benefit YMCA Camp ManitouDon't forget . . . proceeds from the Monticello Hare Scrambles goes to the YMCA Camp Manitou to help fund their dirt bike riding and maintenance day camp program. Help us help our future riders.

You MUST be an AMA and District member to participate in Norsemen events. For more information on requirements Click HERE.
